About the pigments in oil-colors
I’m gathering information on pigments. On this site (click the drawing) you can find, among other information, the codes of different pigments. This way you can determine the contents of professional oil paints.
I started working with water soluble oil paint from Talens, which are branded as ‘Cobra’, and wanted to know more about the individual colors. (See the Cobra-paint blog) .
It appears there are quite a few colors in the Cobra range you can mix yourself easily. (Like Cobra ‘Lamp black’ is a mixture of Cobra ‘Ivory-black’ with a bit of Cobra ‘Ultramarine’.)
